The Street (complete series 2)

TELEVISION drama just doesn’t get much better than this.

Building on an impressive and Emmy-winning first series, The Street has that most reliable of writing yardsticks, Jimmy McGovern, at its helm but with a number of local writers responsible for individual episodes.

The premise is one street in northern England and the lives of the people who live there.

THERE was a time when I simply loved Minder. My TV watching week as a teenager revolved around my hour-long fix with hired muscle but all- round good guy Terry McCann (Dennis Waterman) and his wheeler dealer, dodgy car salesman boss Arthur Daley (George Cole).

ROME – The Complete Second Season

Rockford Files season Four

“THIS is Jim Rockford. At the tone, leave your name and message and I’ll get back to you.� With those words started one of the great long-running series of American TV which will no doubt stir a wave of nostalgia for many of a certain age.
James Garner starred as Rockford, the former con turned private investigator who lived in a car park trailer near a Los Angeles beach, his trusty Golden Firebird parked outside.
